Franschhoek Vineyards

Our prideFranschhoek

Franschhoek is regarded as one of South Africa’s sexiest destinations for wine lovers.

The region has a warm, continental climate. The small but beautiful valley is surrounded on three sides by towering mountains, that cast shadows that reduce the amount of sunlight that reaches the vines and helps moderate high temperatures. The area’s diversity of slopes, aspects and soil types, from alluvial sand to clay, with deposits of granite and sandstone make Franschhoek ideally suited to produce heavy, robust red wines and fruit-forward whites.

Semillon, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon are considered the flagship varietals of Franschhoek.
