Stellenbosch Vineyards

Our prideStellenbosch

Stellenbosch is one of the oldest and possibly most important wine producing regions in South Africa. The town is steeped in history and is home to some of the country’s best-known, and most-awarded wine estates.

The terrain is mostly hilly with a relatively hot and dry Mediterranean climate, complemented by refreshing morning mists and cooling afternoon sea breezes. The variety of granite and sandstone soils with high clay content means that vineyards are free draining with excellent water-retention.

Stellenbosch is renowned for its Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz and Chenin Blanc and is world-famous for being the birthplace of Pinotage (a crossing of Pinot Noir and Cinsaut).
