Our prideSwartland
The Swartland wine region covers a large and diverse area that includes the Paardeberg mountains, plains of Piketberg, the traditional wheat-producing region of Malmsbury, protected Riebeek Valley and cooler district of Darling. The region’s topography is varied, and vineyards can be found on steep mountain foothills all the way to gentle hillsides.
The climate is hot and dry and terroir, rugged, allowing hardy, drought-resistant bush vines to grow beautifully and deliver rich, fruit-driven wines.
The Swartland specialises in growing Shiraz, Chenin Blanc and Pinotage grapes and bottles excellent single varietal and mixed blend wines.
